Exhibition Photos 2010
A friendly atmosphere at this year's exhibition welcomed all club members and the general public to share in our passion for lapidary and gemstones. We were pleased to have some new demonstrations this year, including Carol faceting gemstones and Suzanne C. showing us glassblowing - go girls! Ralph was happy to attend the exhibition and the kitchen staff offered delicious Devonshire teas and pies. Meredith was working on an interesting sparkly Christmas ornament of beaded finery and Phil had some great opal pendants on his stall. Thanks go to Lyn on the door, Vince for his hard work, Daryl (and others) for setting up, demonstrators, Dawn, Bill, Kerrie and anyone else I have forgotten...!
Each year, the Essendon Gem & Lapidary Club holds an Annual Exhibition with member displays, demonstrations, lapidary sales and refreshments. It's a good opportunity to buy affordable lapidary supplies, learn about the club's crafts and how they are done and to talk to members of the club about their hobby.
Everyone is welcome at the Annual Exhibition, both members and the general public. Entry is usually very cheap (around $3 per person) and children can attend with parents. The Annual Exhibition is held in May each year.
